Did you have a GAP between registration expiration and renewal dates for a vehicle? If so, Cabarrus County was notified to issue a GAP billing for the missed months of taxes. Cabarrus County, not the NCDMV, collects the taxes for the months between registrations.
File appeals with the tax office within 30 days of the due date on the GAP property tax notice. Appeals can be for:

- situs (tax location)
- taxability
