The Centralina Workforce Development Board serves as the governing body for a variety of programs:
- Job Training Partnership Act
- Work First (JOBS) welfare and placement programs
- Older Worker Americans Act Job Training and Employment Program
The 20-member board consists of representatives from six counties.
The Board of County Commissioners selects four representatives from the following vocational backgrounds:
- education
- organized labor
- two representatives from the private sector
Appointments are for two-year terms.
