Early voting allows voters to cast a ballot at any early voting site before the election. This can be done, in person, on select days prior to Election Day. This is different from Election Day, where registered voters can only vote at their assigned precinct. Each early voting site has all the ballot styles for a given election.
During the early voting period, voters may register to vote and vote at the same time, as long as sufficient proof of name and address is provided. When you present to vote at an early voting site, you may change your name or address, if needed.
All voters at early voting sites will be asked to show a photo ID, just as on Election Day.
2024 General Election Early Voting Dates and Times
- Thursday, October 17 - Friday, October 18 from 8 am - 7:30 pm
- Saturday, October 19 from 8 am - 3 pm
- Monday, October 21 - Friday, October 25 from 8 am - 7:30 pm
- Sunday, October 27 from 1 pm - 5 pm
- Monday, October 28 - Friday, November 1 from 8 am - 7:30 pm
- Saturday, November 2 from 8 am - 3 pm
Early Voting will take place at four locations in Cabarrus County:
- Board of Elections Office - 369 Church St. N, Concord, NC 28025
- Cabarrus Arena & Events Center - 451 NC Hwy 49, Concord, NC 28025
- Kannapolis Train Depot - 201 S Main St., Kannapolis, NC 28081
- NC National Guard Armory - 1501 Old Charlotte Rd. SW, Concord, NC 28027
