Fire Services Staff

Cabarrus County Fire Services staff consists of:

  • a fire marshal
  • three assistant fire marshals
  • an operations chief

The staff:

  • coordinates with local fire service providers
  • reviews construction plans
  • issues permits
  • inspects non-residential facilities in unincorporated Cabarrus County
  • provides technical assistance to local fire departments to maintain insurance fire ratings
  • conducts fire investigations
  • provides 24/7 emergency response

The operations chief assists in the Manpower Squad program supervision and development. They also:

  • provide additional communication between the county and volunteer fire departments
  • assist on incidents and in other capacities as needed

Fire Services fill a critical role as part of the Emergency Management Department. Their responsibilities range from providing damage assessment to nuclear disaster preparedness capabilities.
