Problem Pregnancy services provide individuals with needed help and support. This help and support is in solving problems associated with unplanned pregnancies, including:
- medical
- social
- educational
- psychological
Services include counseling and information to help recipients make choices about the pregnancy.
The State Maternity Home Fund is a component of Problem Pregnancy. The fund provides payment for up to six months of residential care and services. It covers care and related medical services for NC residents with unplanned pregnancies. Funds are provided regardless of age or marital status. These funds are for the expectant mother unable to remain in her own home during the prenatal period.
