The Child Welfare Division's mission is to provide family-centered services to children and families and achieve well-being through ensuring self-sufficiency, support, safety and permanence.
It is our vision to embrace family-centered principles and provide services that promote security and safety for all. We believe children in Cabarrus County should grow up in a safe, permanent, self-sufficient family where well-being needs are met.
Child Protective Services strives to ensure safe, permanent, nurturing families for children by protecting them from abuse and neglect while attempting to preserve the family unit.
