Suther Prairie Conservation Easement Covered in Flowers The CSWCD is the lead agency in the countywide conservation easement(PDF, 2MB) initiative. We work with LandTrust for Central NC and many other agencies and organizations. Our goal is to assist the community with sound conservation and land use principles. These principles pertain to soil, water, air, plants and animals. We are dedicated to the wise use of natural resources in Cabarrus County.

To decide if a conservation easement is right for you, consider that easements:

  • provide permanent land protection
  • remain in private ownership
  • are tailored to your circumstances
  • can yield a tax benefit
