Cost Share Programs
CSWCD provides assistance applying for several agricultural cost-share programs(PDF, 321KB) that allocate state funds. These programs grant an annual allocation of funds to farms and/or rural landowners.
These initiatives reimburse most conservation practices at 75 percent of predetermined average costs.
Funds are limited. Interested persons should contact the CSWCD as soon as possible. Applications are ranked for potential funding.
Agriculture Cost Share Program (ACSP)
ACSP funds for non-point source pollution control are available to landowners and operators. Recipients must implement conservation practices such as:
- livestock exclusion from waterways
- animal waste management systems
- livestock watering systems
- cropland conversion to grass or trees
- FY 2025 county money allocation between projects based upon project need from ranking sheet: $52,869
- Impaired and impacted water basin FY 2025 county money allocation based upon project need from ranking sheet: $12,022
Agricultural Water Resources Assistance Program (AgWRAP)
AgWRAP projects focus on increasing the water storage capacity on farms. FY 2025 county money allocation based upon project need from ranking sheet: $10,500.
Community Conservation Assistance Program (CCAP)
CCAP projects focus on storm water runoff control and well closures.
Conservation Reserve Enhancement Program (CREP)
CREP projects focus on protecting environmentally sensitive cropland and marginal pastureland long term.
Environmental Quality Incentives Program (EQIP)
Federal funds are available for agricultural producers to plan and implement conservation practices. These practices must improve soil, water, plant, animal, air or related natural resources. Call 704-788-2107 for information.
