Professional Development

CSWCD facilitates and/or schedules environmental education workshops for formal and non-formal educators. All professional development opportunities provided by the district are:

• coordinated with the NC Environmental Education Certification Program
• administered through the office of NC Environmental Education

Environmental Educators of NC provide many career development opportunities. They are an affiliate of the North American Association for Environmental Education. Highlighted educator workshops include:

• Project Food, Land and People
• Project Learning Tree
• Project WILD
• Project WET
• Leopold Education Project
• Population Education
