Soil Testing
Our office does not actually do soil testing. Instead, we evaluate soil sample analysis results.
The NC Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (NCDA&CS) does soil testing. The Agronomic Division offers:
- information
- forms
- free soil testing boxes
Residents can pick up boxes at the CSWCD office (715 Cabarrus Avenue West, Concord). You can also ship your boxed soil samples to the Agronomic Division through our office at no charge. Turnaround time for results varies depending on the time of year.
From December 1 through April 1, the Agronomic Division charges $4 per soil test box. CSWCD collects the boxed samples and ships them. Residents must pay the Agronomic Division in advance, and can only do so online or by check.
