Helpful Hint: Check your spam! When you begin using our grant portal, please check your “Spam” and/or “Junk” folders and filters to be sure emails from the following address are not missed: Cabarrus County Grant administrator@grantinterface.com
This is the address from which you will receive most communications about your online grant management. When you apply for a grant through this system, you should receive a confirmation email from that address. If you don’t see it in your Inbox, please check your spam and/or contact your network administrator.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
NOTE: Some grantees will be pre-registered in the system and will not need to create an account. If we have provided you with login information, please DO NOT create a new account, since it will not give you access to your existing grant information.
ACCOUNT INFORMATION
How do I create an account?
From the login page, click “Create New Account” and complete the fields provided. Your email address becomes your username, so each account user must have a unique email address.
Helpful Hint: Do NOT use your browser’s “back” button during the registration process. Use the “Next” and “Previous” buttons to navigate through the steps. Please do not include any personal information.
Important notes:
- In the 1st registration section, labeled Applicant Information, provide your organization’s information (business name, website, address, etc.)
- In the 2nd section, labeled User Information, provide your work contact information (name, business title, email, etc.)
- In the 3rd section, set a password
What if I forget my password?
Use the “Forgot your Password?” link on the logon page to send a password reset link to your email address.
Passwords must be a minimum of 6 characters, which include upper case, lower case, and special characters. Special characters are: !@#$%^*()_
Helpful Hint: Passwords are case-sensitive, so be sure you are using the correct upper and lowercase characters.
How do I change my password or update my contact information?
There are two ways to change your password or update your user information:
- Click your name at the top right of the screen and choose “Edit My Profile” from the dropdown menu.
- Click the “House” icon on the top left of the screen to go to your Applicant Dashboard. Click the “pencil” icon to the right of the “Applicant” information at the top of your profile.
How do I change my email address?
The system uses your email address as your username. If your email address changes:
- Log on using your old email address (as originally setup for your account).
- Either:
- Click your name at the top right of the screen and choose “Edit My Profile” from the dropdown menu.
OR
- Click the “House” icon on the top left of the screen to go to your Applicant Dashboard. Click the “pencil” icon to the right of the “Applicant” information at the top of your profile.
- Enter your new email address in the Email/Username field and click “Save”. On your next log on, use the new email address as your username.
How do I update my organization's information?
If you need anyone added to your organization’s profile, please contact us directly, since this must be done by the Cabarrus County Grant Administration Team.
If you are needing to request an assignment of the grant or report a change in business ownership, then first complete the Assignment & Ownership Change Request. It can be accessed by using the previously assigned form (preferred method as prior information is prefilled) or alternatively by completing a new form. A new form can be accessed by clicking the “Apply” button at the top of the screen.
Note: The name on the payee bank account must match the Organization name so your vendor setup will also need to be updated through your PaymentWorks.com account.
GRANT INFORMATION
How do I make sure I'm listed as the contact person on the application?
The account holder who is logged on and begins the application is the primary contact person for the grant application. This should be the same as the User already identified. Please contact the Grant Administration Team for any changes.
How do I access my grant?
Your application will appear on your “Applicant Dashboard” page. The primary contact person for the grant should be the person who will:
- Edit and Submit and Sign the Grant Application:
- Manage the Grant activities, and
- Receive and respond to all communications about the Grant.
Only the user whose name appears at the top of the application will be able to edit and submit. If you need your application reassigned to a different user within your organization, please contact us directly to make this change, since this must be done by the Grant Administration Team.
How do I continue an application that has already been started?
- If the application process has been started, you will find your draft application on your Applicant Dashboard. (The “Home” icon at the top left of the screen.)
- Find your in-process application and click the “Edit Application” link on the right, to continue.
- DO NOT click “Apply” since that will start a new application instead of returning you to the application in progress.
What if more than one person needs to work on the application?
The person who starts the application is the primary contact and the only user who can edit and submit. However, that user may allow others to work on the application by:
- Downloading and sharing any of the spreadsheets within the application.
- Sharing the questions for which you need others to draft the answers. You can then copy and paste the information into the online application.
How often must I save my work and will the system 'time out'?
The system will automatically save your work as follows:
- When you exit a field.
- Every 100 characters.
- When you click the “Save” button at the bottom of the screen.
The system will give a Warning Message after a period of inactivity, letting you know it is about to log you out. If the system does log you out, your work will be saved first.
