CONCORD, N.C. – Get your hands dirty and your garden growing at the 2025 Spring Plant & Herb Festival.

The event, sponsored by The N.C. Cooperative Extension Cabarrus County Center, is happening Saturday, April 12 at the Cabarrus Arena & Events Center. Whether you’re a seasoned gardener or just starting out, this rain-or-shine event has something for everyone.

The festival will feature an array of plant-related items, including vegetable seedlings, native plants, perennials, annuals and even unique garden art. Local organizations will host community booths, offer interactive activities and provide educational opportunities.

A special 4-H section will be available for youth, and Extension Master Gardeners will be on hand to answer all your gardening questions.

Wanting to learn how to safely sharpen your tools? A vendor will be on-site demonstrating the proper care and sharpening of gardening tools. Plus, bring a gently used tool to participate in a tool swap and trade it for something new.

Pro Tips:
• Bring a wagon for carrying your plant purchases
• Be prepared to bring cash. There are no ATMs onsite, and many vendors only accept cash
• Plan to spend at least 60 minutes exploring the vendors and even more if you’re looking to engage with the activities and educational sessions
