Cabarrus County government offices to close for Good Friday

Cabarrus County government offices will close Friday, April 18, in observance of Good Friday.
The closure includes the Cabarrus County Government Center, Human Services Center, Construction and Demolition Landfill, Household Hazardous Waste Recycling Center, Veterans Services Office, Board of Elections Office, Animal Shelter and all County libraries and active living centers.
All Cabarrus County parks will remain open and operate on a normal schedule Friday through Monday.
Libraries will reopen Saturday, April 19, from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., except for the Midland branch, which will remain closed due to repaving work.
The landfill will also reopen Saturday from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
The next Household Hazardous Waste collection event will be held Saturday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 246 General Services Drive SW, Concord.
Republic Services curbside garbage and recycling collection for residents in unincorporated areas of Cabarrus County will continue as scheduled.
The Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners’ regular meeting, typically held on the third Monday of each month, has been moved to Tuesday, April 22, at 6 p.m. Residents can watch Board of Commissioners meetings live at cabarruscounty.us, on YouTube (@CabarrusCounty) and on CabCo TV (Spectrum Channel 22).
