Allen Volunteer Fire Department

Since 1959 Allen Volunteer Fire Department (AVFD) has covered 19 square miles. This includes Highway 49 and Highway 601 South. With a small district population of around 5,000, AVFD averages around 1,000 calls per service a year. Today, we operate as a combination department. This includes paid part-time firefighters and dedicated volunteer members. Allen members proudly provide fire, rescue and medical services to Cabarrus County.
