Cabarrus County Fair continues in full swing

If you haven’t yet made it out to the Cabarrus County Fair, now’s the time to experience the Land of Sugar and Smiles. The fair continues through Saturday, September 14 at the Cabarrus Arena and Events Center, located off Highway 49 in Concord. 

Fair hours

The fair operates during the following times:

  • Wednesday and Thursday: 4 to 10 p.m.
  • Friday: 4 to 11 p.m.
  • Saturday: 1 to 11 p.m.

     

    In addition to the thrilling rides and scrumptious eats, Robinson's Racing Pigs will vie for the checkered flag on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. and again at 7 p.m. and 9 p.m. Also on Wednesday, the Youth Dairy Show will be held in the Event Center Show Ring at 4:30 p.m. and you can catch live music on the Country 103.7 Stage from 7 to 8:15 p.m. These events and more continue throughout the week. For a full schedule of entertainment and vendor details, visit cabarruscountyfair.com

    Visitors can enjoy a petting zoo, livestock displays, a butterfly encounter and educational exhibits. Fan-favorite live performances and demonstrations include those racing pigs, K9s in Flight, Nature’s Wonderland Carvings, Rockstar Karaoke, Master Gardeners and more. 

    Admission and pricing information

    Pricing for admission and parking is as follows:

  • General admission: $8 for ages 12 to 54
  • Seniors (55+), Military with ID: $6
  • Children (ages 6 to 11): $6
  • Children 5 and under: Free
  • Parking: Free

    Please note 
    All fair transactions are cash only. ATMs are available at the main gate and throughout the midway, with applicable surcharges. There are no re-entries, refunds, rainchecks or exchanges. 

    Ride tickets
    Ride tickets are available as “credits,” which can be purchased at Powers Midway ticket booths inside the fairgrounds. Each ride requires four to seven credits, with prices as follows: 

  • One credit: $1
  • 38 credits: $38
  • 108 credits: $98

Unlimited ride wristbands are available for $35 and grant access to all mechanical rides for one day (excludes Air Raid, which requires three additional credits). Children under 36 inches tall can enjoy the Merry Go Round, Fun Slide and Kiddie Wheel for free with a paying adult (16 years and older). 

Shuttle services
Free parking lot shuttles will be available on the final weekend (Friday, September 13 and Saturday, September 14). Shuttles will run from the outermost lot on Old Airport Road but wait times may vary. By law, children requiring a car seat/booster must bring it to ride on the shuttle.
