Cabarrus celebrates employee longevity

Cabarrus County leaders honored the work of employees who reached service milestones in a recent ceremony before family and colleagues at the Davis Theatre, located in the 1976 Historic Courthouse in Downtown Concord.
The group of 177 employees totaled 1,810 years of service to Cabarrus County residents.
During the ceremony, Cabarrus County Manager Mike Downs praised the group for their talent and devotion.
“As we gather in celebration of employee milestones, I am reminded of the incredible dedication, passion and resilience that you all bring to our organization every day,” he said. “Each of you plays a crucial role in our success, and it’s your commitment that drives us forward.”
Cabarrus County Board of Commissioner’s Chair Steve Morris echoed those sentiments.
“Every day you show up, not just to do a job, but to serve your neighbors, improve our community and enhance the quality of life for all our residents,” he said. “It’s your commitment and passion that truly make a difference.”
As part of the event, supervisors of 35-year honoree Michelle Seaford (Tax Administration) and 30-year honorees Lee Ann Almond (Library), Cherita Allsbrook (DSS) and Douglas Bickerstaff (EMS), delivered heartfelt messages about the strong impact they’ve had on their departments and the community.
