Cabarrus County Fire Marshal Jacob Thompson announced that the burn ban for unincorporated Cabarrus County has been lifted.

The ban went into effect on March 21 due to dry, windy conditions. After conditions improved, the local decision aligned with the N.C. Forest Service lifting the statewide ban.

Residents of unincorporated Cabarrus can apply for a burn permit via an online application.  Find local fire ordinances and other related services here
