The 2024 General Election is around the corner. To help residents understand the process and participate with confidence, Cabarrus County invites the community to join the next installment of Gov 101: Voting 2024.

The event is set for Thursday, Aug. 8 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the Cabarrus County Board of Elections (369 Church St N, Concord). Space is limited, so register soon.

Whether you’re a first-time voter or a seasoned participant, the event is a great opportunity to be involved and get a behind-the-scenes look at elections in Cabarrus County.

Voting 2024 includes a detailed breakdown of how local elections work from staff and Board of Elections members. In addition, the event will feature a Q&A panel discussion with experts on precinct information, key dates, polling locations and more.

To prep attendees for the November 5 General Election, completion of some voting prerequisites will be available onsite, including registration checks, absentee ballot requests and even precinct official sign ups.

A complimentary meal will be provided. Again, space is limited so register at https://go.activecalendar.com/cabarruscounty/site/public/event/gov-101-voting-2024/.
