Get ready for some Halloween pickleball action at the first-ever Pickle-Boo Tournament. Come out for a day of fun and friendly competition while supporting a great cause.

This event, presented by Cabarrus County Active Living and Parks, Cabarrus County Special Olympics and Chill Pickle paddles and accessories begins at 8 a.m. at Frank Liske Park (4001 Stough Rd. Concord, NC 28027).

Players can compete in a mix of round-robin and single-elimination matches. Registration is $50 for teams, or join the inclusive tournament for $20 per player (with Special Olympics athletes participating for free).

Prizes will be awarded for the best costumes. Plus, there will be a raffle for pickleball paddles from Chill Pickle. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase on-site.

This event is also a fundraiser for Special Olympics North Carolina, whose goal is to raise $2,500. So far, they’ve raised $1,000. Participation and support will make a meaningful difference in the lives of local athletes.
