    THE BOARD SCHEDULED A PUBLIC HEARING FOR MAY 18, 2020 FOR A PROPOSED ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT INVESTMENT FOR PROJECT PAUL.

    IN REGARDS TO THE WHAT-A-BURGER PROPERTY (5620974938) AT 34 CHURCH STREET SOUTH, THE BOARD AUTHORIZED THE COUNTY ATTORNEY TO ISSUE A NOTICE OF CONDEMNATION AS REQUIRED UNDER NCGS 3A-40 AND ENTRY ON THE PROPERTY UNDER NCGS 40A-11 AND AUTHORIZED THE COUNTY ATTORNEY TO SEND THAT LETTER OUT IMMEDIATELY. AND THEN WHEN THAT 30 DAYS EXPIRES, PROCEED TO FILE A COMDEMNATION OF ACTION AGAINST THE PROPERTY AND DEPOSIT THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $45,000 TO COVER BOTH THE REGULAR COMDEMNATION AND THE CONDEMNATION OF THE TEMPORARY CONSTRUCTION EASEMENT ALONG MEANS AVENUE; AND FURTHER AUTHORIZED THE COUNTY ATTORNEY TO FILE THAT AS SOON AS THE 30-DAY TIME LIMIT EXPIRES.

    The Cabarrus County Board of Commissioners will hold its next work session is on Monday, May 4, and its next regular meeting on Monday, May 18.
