Closures due to COVID-19
With a confirmed cases in the County, Cabarrus is taking critical steps to slow down the spread of the coronavirus (COVID-19), as the health and safety of our employees and our community is our top priority. While we will be making changes to some programs and services, we will continue to operate essential government services for our residents and businesses.
In response to the public health threat posed by coronavirus (COVID-19), Cabarrus County Government is making operational changes to ensure the health and safety of the community and County staff. These changes will ensure continuity of important programs and services, while amending non-essential activities, in response to the County’s declaration of a state of emergency on Thursday, March 19.
We are working aggressively to develop and implement mitigation strategies to reduce the spread of the coronavirus in our community, and will continue to lead this effort throughout this pandemic.
"We are working closely with the CHA and exploring ways to support employees while continuing to deliver excellent service. Information is rapidly evolving. The County is following official recommendations. We’re proactively modifying our business processes with reasonable and appropriate actions that can help protect susceptible populations through increased social distancing", said County Manager Mike Downs.
