  • Home Grown - Over 1,200 fiction and non-fiction titles exclusively from NC publishers.
  • - Search more than 1,000 historic newspapers from across NC, including 14
    titles from Cabarrus County. Most content is pre-1923, but coverage of
    Kannapolis Daily Independent from 1954-1968 is also included.
  • - Reader
    advisory service searchable by author, title, series name and plot.
    Includes author read-alikes and lists of award-winners.​
  • - A downloadable eBook collection with books contributed from libraries
    across the country. Create a username and password to borrow up to five
    books at a time.
  • - The world’s largest newsstand, offering multi-user access to popular
    publications. Through the library’s website, patrons of the Cabarrus
    County Public Library have unlimited multi-user access to complete
    digital magazines, which can easily be viewed on most Internet-enabled
    devices inside or outside the library. Unique technology digitally
    recreates a magazine, including full color pictures, intuitive
    navigation, key word article search and interactive elements, such as
    audio and video.​ Awarded Best New Database of 2012.
  • - A collection
    of animated talking picture books with fiction, non-fiction and foreign
    language titles, math stories, read-alongs (chapter books with sentence
    highlighting and narration but no animation), videos (from National
    Geographic) and TumbleTV, which consists of pre-set playlists of a
    sequence of books, puzzles and games.
